RFS

RFS, or Radio Frequency Systems, makes the physical layer of a radio site: coaxial feeder cable, connectors, antennas, filters and the mounting and grounding hardware that holds it all on the mast. Its history runs back to a Hannover cable business founded in 1900, with the RFS name created within Kabelmetal in 1983 as the group consolidated its cable and antenna operations, and it is today a Nokia Group company. The cable business outside North America was sold to YOFC in 2024. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished RFS hardware including antenna and feeder system components. Refurbished RFS hardware remains in demand because feeder and antenna parts are specified together as a system, so a replacement has to match the frequency band, connector and mounting already installed.
