PEAK Communications

PEAK Communications is a privately owned satellite communications equipment maker based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, formed in 1995. Its first product was the P701 L-band downconverter, and the P702 upconverter followed in 1996, allowing the company to offer both functions as the P700 L-band up/downconverter in a single 1RU chassis. The range grew to cover rack-mount and remote-mount block up and downconverters across the main satellite bands, and in 2003 the P7000 series was launched to replace the P700 range. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished PEAK Communications hardware including L-band upconverters from the P700 series. Refurbished P700 series units remain in demand as direct replacements in earth station racks built around them, since the range was superseded more than twenty years ago.
