JNI was an American maker of Fibre Channel host bus adapters, the interface cards that connect servers into a storage area network. Its FCE range of PCI adapters linked servers to Fibre Channel fabrics during the early growth of SAN storage. Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) acquired JNI’s Fibre Channel products business in December 2003.
