Trapeze Networks

Trapeze Networks was founded in 2002 and was among the first companies to build enterprise wireless around a central controller, an architecture it called the Mobility Exchange, with Mobility Point access points reporting back to it rather than operating standalone. That controller based design became the standard pattern for large wireless LANs, and Trapeze equipment was resold by Avaya, Nortel, NEC and D-Link. Belden acquired Trapeze in 2008 and sold it to Juniper Networks in December 2010. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Trapeze Networks hardware including MP-422 and MP-422A dual radio indoor Mobility Point access points, MP-522 access points and CFETF1029-205 single fibre media converters. Refurbished Trapeze hardware remains in demand because sites still running a Mobility Exchange controller need matching Mobility Points and the range is long out of production.
