LNR

LNR Communications was founded in 1971 and based in Hauppauge, New York, supplying electronics and complete earth stations to the satellite communications market. Its range covered low noise and solid state power amplifiers, frequency converters, modems, receivers and exciters, along with flyaway earth stations and antenna subsystems. Trex Communications acquired the company in 1998, and converters from that period carry the LNR TrexCom name. L-3 Communications bought LNR in March 2001, and later units carry the L3 name. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished LNR hardware including V2200 dual converter chassis for satellite earth stations. Refurbished LNR converters remain in demand as like-for-like spares for teleport and hub installations built around them, where a matching unit can be fitted without changing the rest of the RF chain. Submit any LNR part number via the enquiry form for current pricing, condition information and availability.
