Seagate

Seagate Technology was incorporated in 1978 and began operating in 1979, founded by Al Shugart, Finis Conner and colleagues in Scotts Valley, California. Its first product, the 5 megabyte ST-506, was the first 5.25 inch hard disk drive and gave its name to the ST506 interface that became the early industry standard. Seagate has remained one of the dominant hard drive manufacturers ever since, spanning desktop, enterprise and nearline storage. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Seagate drives including Barracuda desktop and nearline models, Savvio small form factor enterprise drives, Constellation nearline units and legacy Medalist Pro parallel ATA drives, across SCSI, SAS and ATA interfaces. Refurbished Seagate drives are in demand as replacements for storage arrays and legacy systems where a matching drive model is required rather than a modern substitute. Submit any Seagate part number via the enquiry form for current pricing, condition information and availability.
