Digi International was founded in Minnesota in 1985 and specialises in device connectivity: serial cards, console servers, terminal servers and device servers that put serial equipment onto an IP network. Its PortServer and ConnectPort ranges are widely used for out of band management of network equipment and for connecting industrial and point of sale hardware that predates Ethernet.
