Packeteer

Packeteer was an American maker of WAN traffic management appliances, best known for the PacketShaper, which classifies traffic by application and controls how much bandwidth each one gets. Blue Coat Systems completed its purchase of Packeteer in December 2008 and carried PacketShaper on under its own name. Hardware from before then is badged Packeteer and is listed here under the name on the label. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Packeteer PacketShaper units for sites that still rely on them.
