Premisys

Premisys Communications was an American telecommunications equipment company best known for the IMACS integrated access platform, a modular chassis that carried voice and data services through interface cards fitted into the shelf. Zhone Technologies acquired Premisys in October 1999 for $248 million, and IMACS equipment was later sold and supported under the Zhone name, which is why many units carry Zhone labels. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Premisys hardware including AC power supplies for the IMACS 8-slot chassis. Refurbished IMACS parts remain in demand because installed access shelves are maintained card by card, and a failed power supply takes the whole shelf out of service. Submit any Premisys part number via the enquiry form for current pricing, condition information and availability.
